The 3-Way is slowly coming along, I was able to finish cutting the front baffles, grills and bases. The sides are cut on a 25 degree angle on both the baffle and grills. The bases have a 35 degree angle cut.
Next is to cut the recessed holes for the woofers and then begin sanding.
The bases and baffles will be painted gloss black. The process will be: two coats of Seal Coat, two coats of primer, three coats of flat black paint and three coats of gloss poly. All coats will be sanded in between.
The process for the oak bodies will be: two coats of BLO, two coats of Seal Coat and probably 12 coats of clear shellac.
Here is a test piece of the gloss black.
